Genre: Fluff
Pairing: Hao Mei/KO
Summary: K.O.'s Worries.
Noblesse oblige is where moral obligation of those of
high birth, powerful social position are required to act with honor, kindness,
and generosity of their stature. It could also be defined as the belief that
the wealthy and privilege are obliged to help those less fortunate.
To his credit K.O. knew how wealthy those in the upper
echelon were in the world, even with Marxist beliefs of economy in China. It
did not meant that everyone was equal, but rather there still exists a pyramid
of those in power and those without.
His families were considering middle class to poverty
level. The man he loves belong to a family that was consider well off because
they work in business and earn astonishing amount of money. Hao Mei’s birth and
records in University were well kept from the social echelons of those he went
around.
Amazing really, how well hidden Hao Mei was and how
scary enough they were that they wanted their only son to take over the family
business. Feng Teng a conglomerate business in its third generation inheritance
is large and big in wealth.
However, Hao Mei’s family wasn’t as large as theirs,
but they were within the ten high families and it is evident that said parents
love their son enough. That it puzzles him greatly, how he was only given so
little money to survive that he
appears to be poor as a church mouse.
Just that one single screaming match in the work place
was enough to inform K.O. that poor as he was he had absolutely no access to
his credit card or funding, that there was a shouting match and Hao Mei wasn’t
on good terms with his family until he show them he was able to get through
University without their help.
It attracted K.O. so much because Hao Mei wasn’t a
second generation that was given everything like a Prince, but rather he worked
hard to instill his belief of what he wanted. Merit as it were was indefinite
and K.O. love that about that complaining child in his life.
A man’s man as it was he fitted the person in his mind
and it seem that child never changed. Living with Hao Mei and eating breakfast,
lunch, and dinner with him was relaxing.
Being able to see his face and ensuring the craziness
the kid went through was not boring at all.
“K.O.!” Hao Mei ran like a puppy wanting attention and
K.O. couldn’t help listen to him as he typed out code after code. “Let’s go
have food!”
K.O. nods his head and finished up what he wanted to
type quickly before setting the securities back into place and shutting down
the computer.
Hao Mei was chattering happily and pressing his leg
near his arm seeking comfort, he slowly pushes out and looks at Hao Mei
noticing the red marks on the kid’s neck. He narrows his eyes and slowly swerves
his eyes over to Yu Ban Shan and Qiu Yong Hou whom didn’t look as ruffled, but
they were clowning around grapping each other.
It didn’t settle in him and he felt jealous of those
two taking up Hao Mei’s attention and worse the marks left on him. He needed to
disinfect him somehow.
Glancing down at Hao Mei he lean forward and whispered
softly, “You got a bug bite, I have medicine.”
Hao Mei winces at K.O. fingers touching the sore
portion of his neck, “Ah…it’s not a bug bite.”
K.O. was insistent as he tugs Hao Mei off to the
bathroom, “It is.”
The men watches K.O. lead off Hao Mei and looking sly
Ban Shan nudges Yong Hou at the two retreating figures.
“Hey. How long until that ice man cracks?” Ban Shan
grin wildly.
Yong Hou thumbs his nose and gave a smirk, “Let’s bet
on it.”
“Fine. I already bet on three months from now.” Ban
Shan snickers while looking around carefully, “Third brother said two years.”
Rubbing his chin Yong Hou narrows his eyes in thoughts,
“Okay. I go for six months.”
Sliding out his book of bets as Ban Shan names the
little black book, he listed down Yong Hou words, “And what is the amount?”
“I say 1,000 yuan.” Yong Hou rubs his hands together.
Life certainly was different Wei Wei considered as she
watches through the bosses office and noted how the other men behaved.
“What are you
looking at?” Xiao Nai’s commentary interrupted her thought process.
Feeling embarrassed Wei Wei grab her bottle of juice
and sip through the straw. The incredible pressure of her boyfriend’s stare was
unnerving sometimes, “Your comrades are up to something about.”
Xiao Nai quirk an eyebrow and drew up his right hand to
his cheek and gave a pressing stare, “They are just betting on Hao Mei and
K.O.”
Wei Wei eyes widen in wonder, “How does Great Master
know this?”
“K.O. asked me permission to sign up for another year.”
Xiao Nai said, “Meaning his and Hao Mei’s relationship are going well and all I
have to do is dangle Hao Mei in front of him.”
“Senior Hao Mei is not a commodity, Great Master.” Wei
Wei sighs inwardly at how cunning her man is, it was admirable and incredibly
scary.
“I do it for this company.” Xiao Nai gave a smug smile,
“It improves efficiency and employee morale.”
“How does Senior K.O. and Senior Hao Mei’s relationship
factor into good morale?” Wei Wei sniffs and places down her drink challenging
Xiao Nai to tell her.
“Wei Wei. You need more fish head soup.” Xiao Nai
replied and picked up his drink gracefully taking a sip.
Sometimes, Wei Wei was jealous of how her handsome
boyfriend was able to make the most common motions look so fluid and graceful.
It was a wonder he didn’t turn out like Senior K.O. and Senior Hao Mei, but
then his personality would make any man go nuts with how stubborn and mulish
the man was.
A few minutes swept through and Wei Wei worked on the
problem and slowly she directed her ire at the great master, “I don’t need fish
head soup.” She grabs her food box and pouts, “Just because you think that
company drama is all good.”
“Oh?” Xiao Nai look was all satisfactory.
“You believe that Senior Hao Mei would complain less
because he is fed well and has K.O. to be buddy with. Senior Ban Shan and
Senior Yong Hou are entertained by playing the game with Hao Mei and
distracting K.O.” Wei Wei was fumbling in her thoughts.
“And what else my wife?” Xiao Nai set down his drink
and cross his legs deliberately.
“The whole company would be watching and it relieve
their stress from just work and you get Senior K.O. to work for you and Senior
Hao Mei wouldn’t be as stuck or crabby.” Wei Wei said triumphantly.
Xiao Nai uncrosses his leg and lean closer to Wei Wei, “Wife
you forgotten one important fact.” He presses Wei Wei deeper into the couch
and whispered near her ear, “I get more time with wife.”
A spluttered response was from Wei Wei and she contemplates
if that was wise at all for her health.
Xiao Nai’s phone vibrated. Backing away he went to pick
up his phone, Wei Wei breathes a sigh of relief.
A spluttered response was from Wei Wei and she contemplates
if that was wise at all for her health.
Wei Wei gave an inquisitive look at Xiao Nai after
glancing to the window to see the men hurrying up packing whilst Ban Shan was
giving a wink and Yong Hou drag him out of the door.
“What is going on?” Wei Wei asked.
“Men’s Talk.” Was the only words she could get out of
Xiao Nai.

So cute~ I can't stop watching the drama. And also the drama director's other work has finished airing, Ten Miles of Peach Blossom, there's KO in it~
ReplyDeleteYou seem to be following the same drama's I watch. However, I do confessed that I am a bit worried on Ten Miles of Peach Blossom. There was a controversy in regards to it being plagiarized or something. It was on a novel translations. If that didn't happened and I wasn't made aware I would have written stories for that one too! On the good news the Actor Zhang Bin Bin who plays K.O. will be inside a new series with the actress of Feng Jiu. The series is called the Kings Woman. Hopefully, I get to watch that one. XD
