From the previous episode we stop where high tensions flare between that of the bodyguards of the Arab Leader and Alpha team. All of them point guns at each other as the patient is place into the operation room and Mo Yeon started the surgery.
It most likely is highly unusual that in real military that an Captain would disobey orders to save a VIP patient. If they did there would always be repercussion but this is an drama and obviously it isn't keyed to reality. I am sure many fans of the show are excited about how handsome Joong Ki in behaving to telling Mo Yeon to save the Arab Leader.
I suppose in a way the romance goes along in line to the portion where he doesn't want Mo Yeon to suffer repercussion if she didn't give treatment and instead waited 1 hour and the Arab leader dies. The issue the relations between the two countries would not be on good terms...most likely in this case.
The bodyguard tell Doctor Kang and the medical staff to get back but Yoo Shi Jin immediately gave orders that the safety of the medical team and the patient will the top priority. So his team immediately lined up with guns forward blocking the guns from being aimed at the medical team. The bodyguard warns Shi Jin telling him he better know what he is doing. Shi Jin continued on saying that the bodyguard should do his job and that the doctor would save her patient. A patient that needs surgery and he would protect what he have too. This pretty much is a declaration of what he values his own people and those that need protection. A nice motto and standard of our Yoo Shi Jin.
Moving the patient into the room the army slowly rotate and it is a nice effect of the camera and the view point. Shi Jin continued to check and view Mo Yeon which I think is for the romantic effect obviously you would still keep focus if you really find the other side threat.
Emergency conference is called General Yoon is heading to the conference location and Director of Haesung Hospital is on a video conference on his phone yelling that this is about President Mubarat of the Arab League and he is worried if something goes wrong. Blue house the representative is having a freak out saying that S. Korean government would experience problems with the nations of the Arab League if something goes wrong.
The priorities of politician is obvious is basically who would take responsibility if something goes wrong, however for Mo Yeon she is more focus on saving the mans life. Ha-Ae hands over a mes and Doctor Song is watching nervously the scene switch to that of Shi Jin still in a check move with the opposition and on the radio of the Alpha Team except Shi Jin the Battalion Commander is yelling telling them to stop. There is no answer because Alpha Team is quiet there is no reason to talk and also they are holding position. A high pitch dinging sound happen and a man comes running in stating Special troops have been assembled at the training ground in a full combat gear since First Grade FP call is being issued which is basically first level FPCON is issued due to the international incident of this surgery.
Doctor Song is trying to tell Mo Yeon she can still stop but instead Mo Yeon is examining the body of the patient instead of listening. Pointing out a large subcostal incision that wasn't part of the charts.

Most likely the surgery that was given has to do with gall bladder removal usually when someone is older the gallbladder becomes diseased if they are eating concentrated foods or also there is too many stone build up inside. Then again it also can occur in young people too.
Doctor Song keep trying to dissuade Doctor Kang from doing the surgery since it is dangerous not just to them, but also to that of the soldiers and everyone. However, Doctor Kang told him that they have no choice as a doctor. She then cut into the abdominal region so she can view the body and see what is the condition of the patient would be.

So there is requirement where the two doctors would have to work together on either side. The blood pressure of the patient dropped and that is why it says oxygen decrease meaning not enough oxygen to the brain. Cause of this could be due to blood loss and thus they would need to implement more blood into the mans body. Chi Hoon is freaked out because if this guy dies he might be in trouble and may be shot and he is about to become a father soon enough. Of course just right this moment the director switches the editing scene of the threats being made by the other side saying if anything goes wrong they would pay for it. Doctor Song is freaking out saying they don't have time for this and that they need to remove the adhesion in order to stop the bleeding. Mo Yeon having a better idea stated they should just transfuse the blood faster so that way the equal amount of blood being lost is circulating so no organs of brain damage would occur as long as it is being provided. Mo Yeon knowing how much resource they have in the medicube stated they have enough blood packs for the man. She sound so calm stating they will remove the adhesion and stop the bleeding. That they would need to take steps as she planned at the beginning.
Chi Hoon wanted to protested but Mo Yeon told the 1st year intern to stop whining and instead head to the inventory to get 10 red blood cell packs for the patient. Everyone is shocked by her but Doctor Song concurred that they will keep on removing the adhesion. Sometimes I wonder if there is a plausibility that the gauze was left behind after the removal of the gall bladder surgery. If it did it could also be why the organs are adhesion too. Chi Hoon running out of the operation room is scared by the standoff but hurried away to grab the red blood packs.
The Battalion Commander radio in to ask how are things going and Dae Young reported the VIP is still in the middle of surgery. Also that the Arabic doctor has arrived. The patient seem stabilized and they have took care of the aneurysm.

I guess during the surgery they discover one in the abdominal vessels and took care of it. Ha-Ae mentions patient blood pressure is now stable.
Mo Yeon now glances up and out to the window to see Shi Jin watching her and confirming they are still okay. She then said good and that they will do clean up and final touches meaning sewing up the incision and blood to gauze removal to suturing the blood vessels.
Finally finished the President is inside the intensive ward and being monitor the Arabic Doctor comes in to examine him. The Doctor told them that it seems like the surgical operation went well. Mo Yeon mentions the surgery will leave a scar and that it could have been a better surgery if she had the right chart. Chastising the doctor for not providing the necessary information. Which offended the Arabic Doctor and thus he said that the patient need to wake up to call the surgery a success. He said that she and the rest should still be worried if he was them, however Mo Yeon shut him up saying if all she did was stay around worried and did nothing then the President would be dead.
Being vindictive the Arabic Doctor said the man could still die, which I feel is quite immature of that man, obviously you should wish for the patient to get better, but I guess his still sore that he wasn't there to treat the man. Feeling exhausted Mo Yeon squat down on the floor to sit down. Doctor Song asked her if she is alright he told her she should get some rest and he can stay there to monitor the patient.Mo Yeon reassured Doctor Song that she is just hungry but that both him and Chi Hoon should get something to eat with Ja Ae and Min Ji since they all would take shifts later on to monitor the patient.
Chi Hoon worries on what if the Arab leader dies. Doctor Song starts to examine what they did he stated they have the hepatic artery aneurysm case report and that there will be a slight change in the world history.
Aneurysms of the hepatic artery are uncommon. They tend to be saccular and multiple. Causes include infection, arteriosclerosis, trauma, and vasculitis. Untreated aneurysms may cause death by rupturing into the common bile duct (causing hemobilia), the peritoneum (causing peritonitis), or adjacent hollow viscera. Hemobilia may cause jaundice, upper GI bleeding, and abdominal pain in the right upper quadrant.
Diagnosis is suspected if typical symptoms occur or if imaging tests detect an aneurysm. Doppler ultrasonography, followed by contrast CT, is required for confirmation.

Shi Jin just stated he been summoned. The medic team are cooking ramen and waiting for it to be ready while the bodyguard are watching them. I bet they won't let them run away and that is why they are watching them. Min Ji said she is worried that there would be a gauze in the mans body. Both of them worry again and said they need to count the gauze again.
Dae Young brought Shi Jin to the food storage room and detain him there. The Battalion commander comes closer and kicks Shi Jin in the leg telling him he is a lunatic and now he is detained. Of course the mans concern is how many people would lose their jobs because his action but he became all alright when he found out that Shi Jin would shoulder the whole responsibility. I really don't really see this guy as General Material. In addition he told Shi Jin that he could get promoted quickly if he didn't cause trouble and now he pretty much ruin his career. He didn't understand Shi Jin it isn't the ranks that matter to him but rather the people he protects. Thus Shi Jin stated he has no regret for what he had done because it is the right thing to do.
Mo Yeon is outside the food storage area talking to Dae Young she wants to see Shi Jin for five minutes she hard heard what happen and she is worried. Getting out of the storage room the Battalion Commander demanded that he wanted to see Mo Yeon. Dae Young tries to run interference stating she is still monitoring the VIP however she came from behind him to see the man.
They both are left alone for the chat but we can tell that the battalion Commander is surprised the operations doctor is pretty and the famous woman from Korea. Instead he tore into her that she has ability to open her own clinic but she trashed the career of Shi Jin. That she better hope that the VIP wakes up or else Shi Jin life is down the drain. Though I feel his more concern about his own career and though he originally was fire up to yell at her I feel he is unable to do so. Dae Young states he will make hour reports however the Battalion Commander said he wants him to head to the airport because he had enough of him due to he didn't prevent Shi Jin from doing what he did. Sergeant Choi Snoopy would be the one to be inter-min in charge while Dae Young is gone. Then he leaves while confirming that everything should fall on Yoo Shi Jin.
Dae Young heading to the food supply room made his final report to Yoo Shi Jin that he is leaving. Shi Jin said why he didn't stand his ground instead of going away and Dae Young said he is running away. He sound like a child almost that makes me wonder about this going and coming mode of his. But the words that Captain Yoo did the right thing and he is honorable and that when he returns back to Korea they both will go for a 72 hour drinking.
Then his friend is gone leaving him behind, while in the medicube Mo Yeon is monitoring the patient but Dae Young told her she got 10 minutes with Shi Jin. I guess a parting gift and Harry Potter drives Dae Young to the airport. Outside the door through the vent she is talking to Shi Jin whom seem pleased she came to see him. Mo Yeon feeling guilty apologize to him but Shi Jin said she didn't do anything wrong. Her apologizes is because the patient didn't wake up yet but Shi Jin trying to make things light heart told her she should stop worrying about other men instead. However, while this talk is going on Mo Yeon is crying while he is saying she is sexy doing operations but she worries for him. He still repeated he was doing his duty to protect the elderly and the beauty and two of them were there.
The crying happen and hearing her he becomes immensely frustrated asking for C4 or RDX an explosive because he wants to break out because he cannot stand her crying over him. Mo Yeon asked him how he can joke at this point since they are in difficult situations but he still conceited enough to say he is great isn't he. Mo Yeon stated her time is up but offering him a mosquito coil to keep the bugs away, its hilarious because he said thanks for it when he has tons of boxes in the storage room just in front of him that he can burn. HAHA
I am sure if he wants too he could probably eat some of the supplies while in there. During natural disaster is being in places where food is located at haha.
Walking away Mo Yeon head back to the medicube and Shi Jin sits contemplating everything.
The small boy with lead poisoning went into the intensive ward and felt the President head and said that the guy isn't sick anymore. The bodyguard came in and rough up the kid but then they realize that the President is awake. That reaction time is good and that he isn't hurt. Doctor Song collapses on the lunch table exhausted to death that the man is awake. Everyone is pleased that things turn out well since they may not get shot for this surgery. The medic team is called since the Bodyguards are moving the Patient by helicopter. They watches as the helicopter goes away and sends off the VIP.
Snoopy is on the phone with Dae Young informing him that the VIP is being helicopter away and the Arabic people seem pleased. Gi-Beom is beside Snoopy trying to listening in. Dae Young is heading to the aircraft that is going to take him back home to Korea. Snoopy stated that he is with a whining little baby so he will let him talk to him on speaker. Gi Beom asked how he could just leave without a word crying. Dae Young said what else can he do and that he left a dictionary for him to study to get his GED and that Snoopy would be in charge to make sure he studies.
Heading to the aircraft he bump into Myung Joo whom is angry because he is going away. She is frustrated because he is running away from her again and all she want to do is to be with him. She probably knows her father did this transfer him out again unjustly. Dae Young instead just started the spew of his name and orders and he still got hit but continued saying he is going to Korea. Myung Joo keep hitting him he stand tall like a tree as she cries at him. All he can say is that the insect bite and that she need to keep her uniform on. Myung Joo grab him and all he can do is draw her closer to hug her then leave her as she cries and shout at him what she suppose to take out of this.
I guess being in public it is harder for them if the father doesn't approve of Dae Young and he can only do this much. Myung Joo asked crying in the airfield why he is able to be nicer to other woman but why not her. The flash back to where they are going to Dae Young Ex's girlfriends wedding and the conversation went on how Dae Young promise to make her happy once.
Myung Joo said no bride would be happy if her wedding is ruined. However, Dae Young stated that people cannot be happy if they have no regrets. Realization comes along for Myung Joo that he isn't here for revenge rather he is here to wish and to reassure the ex girlfriend he is fine that he is doing well and to move along to the future of her life.
At a diner they are drinking soju and Myung Joo asked him if he has any regrets but Dae Young confirmed he has none and that he feels relieved. Myung Joo since she upheld her end of the bargain he has to tell Shi Jin that they are dating. The scene shift to a future meeting of the two where Shi Jin is frustrated asking what Dae Young said to Shi Jin because everyone think they had slept together. Dae Young amused said that men like soldiers are bored and would think that way and to get even is to do what they suspected this resulted in Myung Joo trying to beat him up.
General Yoon is getting update on his daughter and where Dae Young status as well. Blue House call and General Yoon places the video conference on to take the call. Lee Han Soo from Blue house inform the General Yoon that they had received an informal request regarding the VIP operations from the Arab League and to pretend that the operations didn't even exist.
With this it means since the operations didn't have there hasn't been a violation of anything diplomatic and no one would lose face that another country doctors did surgery on the President of Arab League. So that means that Shi Jin could be punished or rewarded regardless since nothing had occurred. The General would be the one to make the final decision on Yoo Shi Jin. General Yoon decided on disciplinary actions on the Captain which is to deduct his pay. Getting out of detainment Yoo Shi Jin is welcomed to tofu party food for his health and being released.
I am sure the man wanted meat and never thought there is so much soybeans out there in their place before. Snoopy try to placid Yoo Shi Jin by giving him red ginseng drink Immediately sipping it he stood up to address the kids and praise them for a job well done and to dig in.
When they are eating Mo Yeon runs in and everyone pauses to look at her as she tries to about face and escape, but she told them to enjoy their meal but Shi Jin follows after to talk to her. Outside near laundry of white sheet being hang. The conversation is utterly witty and hilarious because they both are trading words but there is a linger tension between the two. Both thank one another and the thanks for the trust in each other.
A cute moment is where Mo Yeon said there is no way the people would have shot her right but instead she is stating she doesn't want to hear it when she notice he was quiet.
The Arab League body guard popped up requesting that Doctor Kang and Captain Yoo go with them to see the President. Arriving at the President mansion they see the President whom welcome them, they had a conversation and offer them two cards for saving him the card can be used to ask for any favor that can save their lives anywhere. Since there are 1.6 Billion Arabs everywhere outside unsure if they can use the card Yoo Shi Jin said that he can test one out to confirm it is real. He asked for the usage of a car instead and Mo Yeon is frustrated because he wasted one of the cards/favors.
Shi Jin instead took her off to a cafe to have a drink together. Mo Yeon and him went into a serious discussion of what they want and their ideology and both discovery they are quite different from one another. Mo Yeon was good at math and basically decided on being a doctor because she wanted money. Shi Jin couldn't believe she was such a materialistic person. He then receive a phone cal and once again Mo Yeon said that this is how it would be between them two he would be call away or she would be call away.
However, she want to go with him to where he is going to see. He said he would be at a disadvantage since she has more advantage compare to him. He brought her to a funeral being held to one of the comrade he knew that the man died in battle. His meaning why he is at an disadvantage is that this sort of thing would scare away Mo Yeon that death is always near him. That he can be taken away or die easily and she wouldn't want him because of that.
We view Argus the villain of the story as he look at the funeral and pass by Mo Yeon. Arriving at the base Shi Jin tell Mo Yeon to get rest but then Mo Yeon finally ask questions about the man in the funeral. Finally Mo Yeon realize that Shi Jin could die anytime and that is why he is unhappy because it means he is not on an advantage point because of his job. He then walks away up the stairs to his room but instead sits down on the steps and look at the sky then at his hat.
Mo Yeon going out of the door notices the running men and Snoopy bring them through their routine, she asked for where Shi Jin is...Snoopy doesn't like Mo Yeon because of her that Shi Jin is being disciplinary committee because of what had occurred.
Taebaek Corp Command tent Shi Jin is dressed in full uniform as he receive the disciplinary action of him in regard the bomb disposal is what he is being punished about instead of the operations. He got paid reduction.
Myung Joo trips Shi Jin and she scolded him how he could get trick so easily. Both look like having a good comrade feelings but he notice that Mo Yeon heading straight for the tent and causing issue as she is talking to the battalion commander how Shi Jin was being punished. Frustrated that Mo Yeon went to the tent to complain, he drove her away and park the car saying she was doing a rash thing. Both of them fight and instead she got into the car and drove off leaving him on the dirt road. I want to point out she doesn't wreck this car and that she drove by herself!
In Korea, Dae Young pick up Shi Jin phone call and asked about Myung Joo and how she is doing. Instead Shi Jin saying he is on a regular dirt road stranded and he also talking about how promotion salary is cut and that he is paying a huge price for a woman. Shi Jin shot back that Dae Yong is also paying a price for a woman too since international call are expensive too and he keep asking about a woman too.
Getting back on base by being driven by one of the soldier boys. He head into the complex near the kitchen to search for alcohol that Dae Young had left behind for him. Holding the bottle Shi Jin noted the raining going on when Mo Yeon appears and he got surprised by her. Both seem awkward with one another and he offer her a drink holding the bottle out. Reaching to grab a cup he noted that she drank straight from the bottle she offer it to him, but he said he cannot have any since he is in uniform and dispatch troop.
That witnesses aren't suppose to see him drink. Mo Yeon apologize for acting rashly I wonder if she is apologizing from driving away and leaving him on the road. Seeing that Shi Jin is scared of her she told him not to be afraid of her. Shi Jin said he walked back but Mo Yeon said she saw him being driven back got caught in a lie.
The conversation once again gets flirty between the two of them and Mo Yeon keeps on drinking the alcohol. She asked if he want to drink it but all he said is he want to watch a movie and to have a drink with her. The confession that she wanted to see the movie is because the movie reminded her of him. Attracted to her words he said he can figure out another way to drink instead of from the bottle and went straight to her to kiss her.
