Well it could be worse, he supposed.  Mother Kang as he labels her in his mind wasn't what he expected. Originally he assumed that the mother of his love. Would be more objecting toward his job but instead the information provided was quite informative toward him. 

Mo Yeon. Silly. Smart and absolutely nutty when drunk. 

Shi Jin felt that he was an inch tall because he brought home Mother Kang's daughter drunk and he was alone with her in her home. 

Mo Yeon had given the key to her mother. She was quite liberal in sharing when it came to her mother, however, not as liberal with him. Imagine if he was able to stay in Mo Yeon home and Mother Kang coming along. 

He could see the proverbial axe coming at him. 

"Did you do something wrong?" Mother Kang once again visited after that first original meeting. 

Shi Jin gulps and bows his head, "I apologize for putting you or your daughter in distress."

"I heard that you had passed away, imagine my surprise when you are alive." Mother Kang spoke she slid the tea cup and sipped it watching the man. 

"I am sorry." Shi Jin said glancing toward the bedroom door wondering when Mo Yeon would be finish with her bath. Didn't that woman know how hard it is for him at this moment. 

Mother Kang pointed to the chair in front of her, "Sit..." She ordered and like a puppy that was being trained he sat down. 

"Yes, Ma'am." Shi Jin said.

"Don't call me, Ma'am...it sounds too army like." Mother Kang pour a cup of tea and slid it across to Shi Jin. "Just call me mother, you are in fact going to be my son in law?"

Shi Jin took the cup,  "Yes...and...thank you for the tea." He pauses and froze at his affirmative behavior. "Just...M..Mother Kang" He couldn't believe he was stuttering, "Just don't tell Mo Yeon. I haven't yet talk with her.."

"Of course I understand silly, son in law." Mother Kang was quite forward and blunt, "My daughter always was a late bloomer. Studying, working so hard, all she is good is earning money, but..." She set her tea cup down and glances toward the bathroom. "I do hope that you won't be disappearing for a year again..."

"Huh?" Shi Jin echoes. 

"Well it wouldn't be good for the baby if you were gone." Mother Kang said eyeing Shi Jin and the door. 

"What?" Shi Jin eyes widen in disbelief at the mention of baby.

Mother Kang prattle onward, "Well I assume you both are going to get married soon after all last week I found out that Mo Yeon was sick and sleeping in bed. You know Mo Yeon barely gets sick so it is extremely rare. You both should of been careful and all..." 

"Wait...Mother Kang. We haven't...we didn't..." Shi Jin was caught off guard. 

Mother Kang pauses and glances at him with cutting eyes, "Didn't what dear?"

Shi Jin cheek turns red and he look relieved when the door open and Mo Yeon was wearing her sweatpants and sweater. "Ah that is refreshing." Mo Yeon exclaimed. "What?" She pauses at the panic look on Shi Jin face. 

"I am just wondering when the baby would be born is all, Mo Yeon." Mother Kang said. 

"WHAT???" Mo Yeon exclaimed loudly. "Yoo Shi Jin what have you been telling my mother?"
