When Daniel was a few years old he sat on his father's knee and watches the news. His father never thought to shield him from the world, rather he believe that the world situation and information would be great if informed to his son.

He didn't believe to stop informing his son of the vileness of the world though he tamper it with joys so that Daniel understood. "Remember Daniel...the world has its good and bad, but its what you do that counts in this world as long as you are content."

Mr. Spencer never though that his son would end up joining a peacemaker group. That his son indeed took his world to heart and with his introduction to news it would broaden the world to the man's journey. At first he was proud his boy wanted to be a doctor, but then this was his son, he always did rebel in his own way.

At age thirty five, Daniel had joined in medical groups traveling and serving the world. Trying to heal it one person by one person to whole groups where epidemics lay. But prior before that he spent the last nine years abroad and that was where he met Ri Ye-Hwa.

Daniel originally was suppose to go into a hospital to intern there, but decided to join outside in a program to allow him to gain instruction and observation. Ri Ye-Hwa from Korea a new intern nurse when he met her. She was fighting Cholera in Zimbabwa learning from her senior nurses she was seen as an odd frail looking girl.

Daniel gravitated to her because she was from Korea at first and though he stayed and study in Canada he was very refresh by her standoffish personality. Then the medical trucks with the medicine was delayed and already he could see the suffering of those around him. His hands were steady as he helped do diagnosis but he keep glancing over to Ri Ye-Hwa.

After tending the patients she would go to the back and collect herbs from some remote region and come back to use pots of pans cooking. He heard of Eastern Medicine before and he could see that she was willing to try anything when they lack the necessities.

Daniel lips quirked up, "So how long have you been able to practice Eastern Medicine?"

Almond shape eyes glances to him, "When I was a kid...my dad use to make herbal remedies to help the neighbors."

Daniel said, "Would it really work?"

"In Goryeo the medicine for the Western pills are made with chemicals that are derived from that of plants and establishment of substances but it is prettier packaged. No scent, No foul rugged look." Ri Ye-Hwa said watching the outlook of Daniel as he peered at her chemicals. 

Daniel like her she was different, "Goryeo?"

"Hmm?" Ri Ye-Hwa ignored him and continued to cook each pan and pot. 

"Are you licensed in this eastern practice?" Daniel asked. 

"Who would care in this plain as long as we treat those around us and help ease their burdens..." Ye-Hwa scowls, "As long as we help!" Then she flounces off after finishing one batch to distribute to the patients. 

"Just don't poison them!" Daniel called out teasingly.
