Being a doctor especially one in the third world or war driven places for doctors abroad is not easy. Kang Mo Yeon had served her time as she like to call it. She went to different countries where a starving world Africa being one labeled. She went to a world that burn from the sun and experience the harsh ship of none modernize living. Some areas of the world had no water source that was easy and high risk of submitting to fever was a concern.

Yet there has always been a thought of hers since she stood and took the Oath as she label it. Those of the medical community would call it the 'The Hippocratic oath.' A roughly 2,000-year-old text with only marginal relevance to medicine today, even though archaic in current times it continues to have an outsize influence on the community.

Mo Yeon read an article talking about the Oath and terminal Ill, the words from the writer stuck to her like sticky rice. The writer stated that "A modern surgeon is not going to swear by Apollo. Nor is he going to teach "without reward" or pledge to comport himself "in a godly manner."

It's probable true especially since those in Korea were either Christians or they were atheist that didn't believe in any form of religion. However, it made sense the wording of the writer, since the person that created these words were based in another region, but as she continued to work saving lives, she didn't really feel anything.

Her friend joke that she began jaded, but she like to think that she gained the wisdom. The only portion of the oath that made sense to her was "First do no harm," these words were not contained in the oath written by Hippocrates. The irony Mo Yeon considered and yet she carried herself with pride, because she tries her best, do no harm what would that be consider the harm bases of her saving lives?

She save lives. She also has lost lives. In Africa there were moments like those the death and the devastation and yet she take one step at a time. When she came back to Korea it brought along a load of problems that she had forgotten. The politics of the medical community were larger in city places versus in Africa. In Africa just simply saving someone was thank enough. The people are glad to be alive but here in Korea the type of humans differ.

They live a pamper life without fear of starving, high blood pressure to cholesterol plague humans and yet even though there are tests and injections it wasn't enough. Then there are those people when you help aid and relieve their pain they decide to sue claiming that there was malpractice because they want money.

Greed was evident and it was different. Mo Yeon rather not talk to the patients after the surgery. They were spoiled the ones that come from a higher status of the totem pole and yet there are a few that were alright but they have their own bouts of issues.

Mo Yeon had her pride. She pride her skills she held pride in being in control. It was hard for her to set aside her pride.

Until, a man that she didn't quite understand charming but dangerous came along. He was persistent and she later on learned he was a Captain. She started to see him, but even though she is attracted to him, she kept on feeling her emotions being out of control.

Embarrassing moments crept into her life and slowly color span outward into her gray world of apathy. The date in her apartment where she pretended she fully washed her hair and that demon of a man told her that her water was shut off at 4pm. She was mortified.

Couldn't he just simply let her get away with it?

Next was the blow up on a mine time. He made her cry, she hate crying in front of others even at the hospital to Africa. When she loses a patient she would find a safe place and let go crying. Yet here this bastard embarrassed and made her believe she and him would die. Her pride once again was shelved from him.

Then the kiss the derange moment where she was going crazy from him making her emotions feel like a yo-yo. This man was a danger to her pride and control. This man could make her go insane but even though she can do without him and continue on. There are moments where she lapses into silence and look into no where and recall him and she ask herself in regret if her pride was worth it?

Well was it?
