"So, you hired or enlisted him in?"

Dae Young didn't react, but then he had been expecting Shi-Jin to find Gi Beom. The wind was kicking up a bit of the dust around his legs, and Dae Young thought that Shi-Jin looked more at home in this desert land than anywhere else.

Dae Young wasn't partial to any places he did miss Korea. The back drop of Uruk was dry and held tents to buildings that look like a rumble could wreck them. He strode closer to noted the writings that Gi Beom wrote on the arm of Captain Yoo and smirk inwardly.

Shi-Jin look upset and glances to the boy, "Why him?"

"His a good cook." Dae Young had tried the food that Gi Beom made and figure to keep the child away from the gangs he would follow him. After all alpha team was disbanded reintegrated into the normal Korean Army. This was a shoot in the breeze compare to the other places he had been at and the kid needed a place to be.

Gi Beom saluted and hurried off not wanting to stand in the way of the two superior officers.

"Just for a cook?" Shi-Jin voice belay the bewilderment he was feeling, with his eyes turned to the Uruk blue skies he sighs.

"You hurt yourself on a shovel." Dae Young said, pointing at the hole in the mans arm, he knew Shi-Jin's pain tolerance.

"I did." Shi-Jin reconfirms, "Maybe I am sick?"

"Yep. Even after having a blind date and leaving Korea you look sick still." Dae Young shifts and grab Shi-Jin to pull him to their medic tent to bandage his arm up after disinfecting.

"I will get over it. It's not like it's contagious and she wasn't..." Shi-Jin wanted so badly to drink but he was on duty it was frown upon.

Dae Young dab the disinfectant and a hiss was heard before he stuck on the bandage. "You pretty much a goner." He then left his friend behind to head onto his duties.

Shi-Jin just flop onto the chair and look at the block of rocks on the ceiling. "She still was something..." Peering up into the sky he rub his arm and sighs.

Meanwhile in Korea, location at Hae Sung Hospital rooftop, Mo Yeon lean on the rails and stared at the sky and the view. She wasn't afraid of heights and this area remind her of what could have been

Sang-Hyun followed her curious as to why Mo Yeon was always heading to the rooftop. Pulling out his cigarette he wanted to have a smoke, though Jae Ha-Ae hated the smell and always nag him that the habit would kill him one day.

"Mo Yeon?" Tapping out a cigarette, approaching him slowly, "What you doing up here again?"

"Just watching the view." Mo Yeon echoes a linger sad smile on her lips. He knew this woman for close to six years already and could read the mood of his dong-saeng.

Sang-Hyun flick out his lighter from his pocket and snap the pump to lit his cigarette. "You know you can talk to your Sunbae about everything."

"Thanks, Doc." Mo Yeon teases then facing the door she calls out, "I have to go see what the Director wants. I talk to you later then!"

Sang-Hyun took a puff of the white sticks when a voice called out.

"I told you that cancerous stick is going to do you in or I will!"

Swinging around a bright smile plaster on Sang-Hyun face, "Ja-ae!" A  bag was smack into his face, "Why?" He had dropped his cigarette and pouts.

"Simple, you moron! That was your subway lunch that you held but didn't eat!" Ja-Ae hisses and spun around to make her way out, arm tug her back and she glares, "What?"

"I am happy you care!" Sang-Hyun was practically on cloud nine on the thought of this wonderful woman's concern. His eyes narrow when noticing the documents in her other hand, "You can't possibly be considering going!"

Ja-Ae tighten her grip around the documents and jerk her head up. "I am! Already turn in my signature to go to Uruk."

"No! It's too dangerous, war, famine, death!" Sang-Hyun shook Ja Ae with his hands on her tiny shoulders. "Don't go!"

Unhappy face stare into his and he could see the stubborn curl of Ja-Ae lips, he knew what this means, no matter how much he presses for her to stay, she would ignore him. "At least it means I have some space away from you!"

And there were the harsh words as she jerk out of his hands and marched away. All he could see was her back as she slap through the door and down the stairs.

Don't go. It's not safe.

Thirty Years watching Ja Ae and seeing her every day and now she would be going into a foreign place. She might be killed. She might find another man. No!

Sang-Hyun grab the bag from the floor and check to see the sandwich was still okay. Nodding his head, he hurried down the stairs to where the Volunteer sign up sheet was. There was no way he was letting Ha-Ae go alone. He stuck with her for these thirty plus years what was another seventy years for him?

Choi Min Ji was on the ground floor in the room for sign ups, already she was getting the information documents for what she would need for Uruk. The door slammed open and in ran Doctor Song. "Doctor?"

Doctor Song spotted her and immediately his face turn into a large frown as he speed right at her. She quickly took a few steps back.

"Min Ji! Min Ji! Where is the sign up sheet for Uruk?" Doctor Song demanded.

"Over there..." Min Ji hand shook as she pointed to the bulletin board, an evil glint spark in the man eye and she quickly ran away from the room. She usually didn't see the happy, silly Doctor Song look so determine and unhappy. She bump into Doctor Kang and said a quick apology.

Mo Yeon steadies the Emergency Room Nurse, "It's okay just be careful. You cannot risk breaking anything because patients need you."

That was something that Min Ji admire about Mo Yeon, her level headiness and also because the older woman didn't yell at her for her screw ups. Like with the motorcycle patient which she kept on losing. That boy was a pain to deal with always sneaking off and being difficult during treatment. The color of his hair was also funny, who would dye their hair blonde and have it that long. Her lips quirk up as she quickly left.

Mo Yeon shook her head at Min Ji, always that girl makes her worry, glancing at the watch she winces at the time. She had to hurry home and change clothes before meeting with the Director for Dinner. She wonder what that man wanted to discuss? Perhaps advancement to a higher position? She would love to be on the social ladder of a higher position the pay would be good and she would have better grasp to help her friends and comrade in the medical bottom tier.

Here is the place to eat and the skylight. Now come here...or I can clean up and shower.

Han Suk Won slowly unbutton his shirt at that point and it resulted in pure unaltered anger and pain. Mo Yeon didn't regret hitting the bastard. She never felt so dirty from the ideology of rich men that believe just flaunting their power equates to her needing to sleep to retain her job.

This was a form of harassment in America it would be instant lawsuit, but it also meant tension...she suppose she wasn't surprise that pansy chairman would send her to somewhere remote with war and no comforts of Korea's indoor plumbing.

What she didn't expect was his actions resulted in her being reunite with the man that lingers in her memories and her mind. Here the tension flexes and unflexs the timing was off and she didn't know how to act around the man.

A unforgettable man the one in her mind so charming, mysterious, and yet she forgotten that he possess a quick dagger wit that can slice into her. The handling of her scarf to her the appearance of his posture and she felt her heart beat even as she was frozen. Of all places why here? Why was it fortunate and unfortunate she was brought to the one place where the only man that touch her hand stood immobile and unyielding.

Did you remember me as well?

The commentaries from her staff about the Captain drew strange looks with concern worries. She couldn't risk to falter at this moment, when the public and her responsibility presses her to stand tall. In a way during this period, she would have to be thankful for the petty Chairman because of him she met the man that drove her insane.

Shi-Jin thought he could welcome Doctor Kang, he believe that they could remain friendly and yet he wanted more. He wanted to see if they could make it work, the motto of the army is if it doesn't work make it work. Even if it was squeezing a square peg through a circle if there was a will and a way to figure out how to make it go through then he would have to solve it. He was good at puzzles and he rank pretty high in his group of comrades.

One Step forward one step back and trying to grasp the pounding heart that he wanted so very badly.

Please, let me in.

The pairing happened once again and Mo Yeon knew that once again she missed her opportunities because her timing was always off. The man had left and even with the running glistening of male bicep it wasn't enough to make her flutter or smile. He wasn't here anymore to tease and make it enjoyable anymore and that step closer became a step away from her.

The natural disaster that happened and Mo Yeon knew her staff were tired and discourage. The toll of fourteen dead from the power plant collapse haunted her crew. There were many save and yet just one single death was traumatic enough for her hopeful staffers.

Ten percent of them were interns that never experience death of this grand scale. For every dead, Mo Yeon was the calmness that sooth and kept the tears of her team at bay, she had a duty to lead her team and if that meant holding off and not wanting to cry for each and every dead then she would do so.

Crying would not solve anything. Crying would make someone else feel responsible and she had to be the one as role model and professional to hold her team together. Doctor Song was doing a good job, but she was the leader and she has a duty to uphold in regards to the mental health of her staff. The concept of Doctors in the third world wasn't as glamorous and she could see the youngling's like Chi Hoon become disallusioned.

The sound of helicopters right at this bleak moment, drew attentions of those to the craft hovering and the shadows that descended the zip line to the ground. A shining beacon of hope that help is coming and perhaps they can save more people. The appearance of the Captain and Sergeant Major uplifted the men and women of their merry little camp.

There was an energy change and the tempo beat differently or was that her heart? Mo Yeon eyes couldn't stop focusing on the familiar shadow that finally came into the light and it was the Captain.  Then as suddenly she had to leave to save another life and she disappear from his sight.

Did you come back for me?

The man she was treating was sick with a fever, Mo Yeon inserted an IV and started the drink while injecting a fever remedy. She monitor the man and nods her head reassuring the friend of the man. "He will be alright--once the medicine set in...let me know if there are changes." She then stood up and made her way back toward the camp.

Noticing her shoelace was untied she set her emergency red pack onto the floor and started to tie the loaner boots. That's when the Captain came and bent down to assist her, the man didn't change and he was still charming, but there was more to be done and no time.

"I am glad you are not hurt." Shi Jin voice it felt so long since she heard his voice and she could feel her body tremble from exhaustion. "I cannot stay beside you so be careful."

It wasn't a confession, but it was enough to give her peace, Mo Yeon replies just as calmly, "You as well, stay safe." She then got up and walked away facing forward and never looking back. Both had a duty and responsibility to uphold, but the weight on their chest was lifted.

Thank you for being here.

Thank you for being alive.

Words didn't matter as much, however the passionate and sadness in Mo Yeon brought an ache as Shi Jin watches her shed tears after the phone call to Manager Go's wife. The breakdown happening and the wweakness didn't make the woman any less beautiful to him. Rather it was fetching enough that he wanted to kiss away her tears, but he had no right to those actions, they aren't together.

The jokes were wasted as well and Shi Jin knew inwardly when he confessed that she should think about their relationship because he is serious now. It also told him he was taking a step closer to that cliff. Before the relationship between him and the Doctor were up in the air, it could be for play or nothing serious, however after thinking she might be dead.

Knowing that seeing the air flight stewardess and having a few laughs, but the glimmer of wanting more with them seem so shallow compare to Mo Yeon. Shi Jin tried to tiring himself out with sports, fishing, billiards, and when none of this worked out, he drank an drank and drank. Nothing felt alive anymore, he was more alive in Uruk then in Korea where everything was like a carbon copy. Nothing was warm here, and though Mo Yeon's face was posted everywhere he found himself constantly thinking about her.

Am I able to live without you?

The beginning of their story first started with a meeting due to a thief, Kim Gi Beom. Their second meeting after splitting mutually was when she was exile by Han Suk Won because she wouldn't put out for the man's lust. The third time was due to a natural disaster, but that was Shi Jin's choice.

Each moment was a step backwards and forward until now both face one another. There wouldn't be any form of break up anymore...at least both are too far gone, they both are invested in one another.

So with each moment it makes them draw closer. Regardless of the fighting going on and the battling strategy, both felt alive when they are closer together.

So this is love.
