Summary: Sometimes it pays to be loyal.

Chubby studied the intruder with a half-lidded gaze that most intelligent creatures knew to fear. They would know when a predator was on the prowl. His tail flicker in minimal effort and was usually effective in such instances to help him balance, however this thing seemed complete oblivious to his crouching position.  

It wasn’t uncommon for him to randomly stop by the kitchen of his territory. His mistress wasn’t a bad cook, just was terrible at grilling the meat till it was black and brown. Perhaps if she just simply drop a raw one then it would be better to feed him the tender morsel before her blackening approach.

Chubby like to think he was a loyal dog, he could hardly leave his Mistress to her own devices when he was more capable to help provide her with material and gifts. After all didn’t he hunt the shoes and insects for her? Really, what sort of dog would turn down free meals and not gift their mistress with lovely hunt trophies?

It became a rather pleasant habit, she giving him food he placing the torn up trophy of his plight. The carcass of leather patent shoes that use to belong to a large animal he can identify as a cow. He even risked indigestion on occasion when his mistress mistakenly gave him fish. But he did the right thing by losing it in the hair spray smelling man shoes.  Chubby was even given belly rubs for his troubles from her cooking.

Granted hair spray man started to yell at him when he discovers the shoes, but his mistress was always on his side. Even let him stay on the bed when he wasn’t feeling well, shouldn’t the hair spray man be thanking him for helping to consume the unpalatable food?

Well he didn’t instead all he got for his trouble was yelling, he would be sure to pee in his shoes next time to teach him a lesson.

Only his mistress loves him. He snuffles in the couch and rolls around.
