Summary: Sometimes making more memories means the torment of simply remembering with regret on going away.

It was hurting. The ache in his chest and though being back in Seoul, Korea and doing various activity on his shore leave. He was immensely bored, nothing was fun, nothing caught his immediate attention, even imminent harm from the games of Chief Master Sergeant Seo Dae Young wasn't enough to take away this ache in his chest.

Repelling upside down impressing the new recruits, playing pool with his friend wasn't enough, sending text messages was fun to tease Yoon Myung Joo, but that was it. He felt incomplete and restless. 

Shi Jin never realize the job in Uruk would be the fated meeting, once again. When he left Kang Mo Yeon behind he believed that was it he wouldn't see her again, but fate conspired and she landed in the most unlikely place. The middle of no where, exactly where his dissemble self and Dae Young ended up and that was Uruk. He was positive he never informed her of his location and she by what he could tell wouldn't be leaving Seoul that easily, so why...was it she ended up in where he was at?

It was fun. The months they had together the secret dates he took her on though she protested that they weren't dates. The meals to constantly pestering her and picking on her with his not so funny jokes. The dangers she got herself into and yet he yearned to see her. He wonder if for patients injured her beauty was seen as a god sent to those, like Florence Nightingale, but in her case she wasn't a nurse but rather a tough, calm and unyielding force. A statuette of Venus De Milo, gorgeous but cold to the touch, yet deadly accurate in saving those around her in the surgical bed.

The memories kept pouring in one by one and compare to before the memories were vast instead of their first meeting times.

Then once again he lost her. Shi Jin was shipped out back to Korea, it made him feel that his life was an endless Korean drama that Army Doctor Myung-Joo love to watch the up and down of a relationship.

Shi Jin didn't know what Dae Young saw in her, then again he always felt a sibling rivalry with that brat. Perhaps Dae Young love the punishment of being with a Generals daughter? Goodness knows he paid quite well for that woman through constant bombardment and moving to next locations. To keep his not future father in law off his way he always followed Dae Young. Couldn't let his best buddy go so easily. It also set off the General and made sure that he would have the bet coverage and that was a man that would be loyal and guard his back in any situation.

Well it was different now. So here Shi Jin was already many weeks into his shore leave and he was sitting on a stool in the wild with a fishing pole. Still thinking about the feisty surgeon. Wondering if she was thinking about him. Missing her day in day out even going through the city her image was plaster everywhere.

Television Stations slots keep re-airing her episodes and already he could tell that complaints were being made of the new assistant. He had seen on his laptop the feed and winces at the vicious words from the fans of the show. The maintainer had to explain that Doctor Kang was over seas helping the peace keeping treatments with the new Medicube that would be donated to the U.N. and that she would return soon. To placid the rabid sharks of fans.

Shi Jin wonder if dating a public figure would get him into trouble, he was suppose to be simply a shadow in the army during operations that cannot be talked about. Now he was sitting in regretting and thankful at the same time of the time he had with her.

It was pure Torture in the country of Uruk since he could see her with frequency, he wonder if she would be waking up and staring int he morning at the biceps of the men being trained. She was so expressive and here he was sitting and staring at her image on a wall of a popular mall the time in Urk was long with her and he never consider it would invade and poison his flesh. Originally their first beginning they had less memory of one another and so Shi-Jin could forget her but with the few months he had with her in that God forsaken world he had many variations of her expressions and behavior. She never bored him. He was bored now.

He admits he miss her. He worries if she was doing alright in Uruk was she able to get a translator to help her talk to the people there. Did...Argus attack the base? He trusted Daniel Spencer to Keep watch of her and his men, but it was different being away from her. He couldn't check on her so easily.

Dae Young the moron had him originally there with Myung Joo so he could keep him updated, but now he was here, he was positive that man was probably either listening to his cellphone now. Dae Young trusted him, and he would also trust him to take care of....well that was going too far the wishful and complex thoughts.

Sighing he got into his car and started to drive but froze at the sight of the Earthquake that hit Uruk. A chill ran through his spine and he immediately turned on the radio and used his information to access communication, immediately he spun around and headed quickly to base.

Quickly the thought of Kang Mo Yeon body laying beneath rubble and slowly bleeding out filtered through his mind as he speed faster and faster. The panic reserved for later, but for now experience and tactical coolness spread through him. He would quickly assemble and join the team that headed back, he didn't care. He would see with his own eyes, he inwardly thought of the time of her landing herself on a cliff, and now this...

He shouldn't have left things unsaid between the two of them, he prayed to any god out there that she was safe that when he got there he would make it right. He would make sure he wouldn't have any regrets between the two of them.

His going...no matter what.
