Drama: Descendant of the Sun

Character: Fatima
Note: My brain is a bit scramble so this is for whomever wanted a Fatima story.
Summary: Life changes for Fatima in an instant.
Fatima always had a sense of distrust toward adults. She had
grown up an orphan when a gang of men came along and shot into town killing many
people including her own parents. Then strange men came to gather them up from ages of two to
that of fifteen. They were then submitted into this tent like camps and
provided small amount of food. At first they would cry but children tend to be able to adjust easily and soon laughter and running around to have fun happened.
Life goes
on after all. When Fatima grew up slowly she started to notice the death and
despair of those around her. Some kids didn’t make it and some that did growing
toward adolescence were taken away and that is when she learned the horrible
truth.
The girls
were taken to be sold whereas the boys joined the local gang of Argus. All of
this was told and shown to her by Argus the leader of this gang. She was
selected by that man to spend her first night with him and felt disgusted by
the thought. Argus always calls her his rose, but she felt like a commodity to
be sold to the highest bidder.
Her life in those next few years was nightmares she had
learned some English during her outing with that disgusting man. The schools
weren’t established but she would teach what she learn to the next few girls,
but inwardly knew that time was up for her.
All of that change when a jeep came along and Asian man and
woman came out carrying one of the boys that went off to steal goods for their
village. In a flash like a monsoon everything around her change and slowly she started to realize that not all adults were bad.
Doctor Kang obviously a naive and silly woman. She was considered better than most people she
had met and was honest to her compare to everyone that lies to her. Why she
consider the doctor naïve? The woman would be paying for her education even
though she claims she has to pay her back. It was interesting because she never
consider taking charity but at this point what could she do?
Then again the woman would be leaving soon, and she may not
see her unless she does well. The doctor aspire her and she wants to be a
doctor and see her once again. The letter that kept on pouring forward to her
were considered amazing because they all were in either Korean or English. She
would have thought the woman would have abandoned her once she left this place.
Yet she prove it was not necessary true the words asking her to do well. To
become something special were all positive compare to the woman’s mouth and
sarcasm.
Fatima wanted to meet her big sister soon. She wanted to
become a nurse or a helper to go travel toward this distant world and be with
the woman and perhaps help her. A doctor needed assistance but the writing from
Doctor Kang was telling her to do better and not settle for less than a doctor.
That silly woman had so much faith in her perhaps he saw
something more in the girl that was from a world in tatters. So Fatima would
sit and read and learn both Korean and English. Her writings were still messy
but she tries to correct them and at the same time talk to those in the camp to
sharpen her skills in Korean.
Hopefully soon she would meet her again and even thank that
Captain that her Big sister was taken with.
