[DOTS FanFic] DOTS One Shots 18

Title: DOTS One Shots 18
Author: WinterBubbleTea
Drama: Descendant of the Sun
Characters: Kim Gi Beom, Choi Min Ji
Rated: R
Summary: Why oh why did it have to be Popsicle?

Kim Gi Beom absolutely hates popsicles.

It’s not that he dislikes the cold or the stickiness of the treat or even the issue of melting during the hottest day in Uruk.

The problem ironically is Nurse Choi Min Ji. Specifically, the way Nurse Choi eats Popsicle. She is slow about the way she eats the treat versus that of Gi Beom whom consumes the Popsicle quickly so that it doesn’t melt onto his hands.

As cook of the Uruk camp for Korea, Gi Beom would be the one to provide the masses with their food. Min Ji was a big advocate for Popsicle. She absolutely love letting the Popsicle soak in the summer heat until the ice is melt y and sticky over the top of her fingers, sometimes until the whole thing is sliding off the stick completely onto her hands.

Gi Beom was a neat freak, watching this makes him edgy as he watches the inevitable mess collect against those small knuckles, and he itch to help clean up the mess. Though that wasn’t his biggest gripe with the woman as some liquid leak and stains her white dress.

It was far worse than Min Ji not eating the Popsicle but when she does eat them.

It’s like how watching an oncoming train wreck and not being able to look away. Gi Beom wishes there was a seat belt for every time she asked him for a Popsicle and watching as the slow slide of her tongue against the ice in his view.

All the blocks of ice in the world can’t cool the heat that steam from under Gi Beom’s skin, the way his breath catches in his throat when Min Ji idly slides her mouth down over the half melted Popsicle. When she is done she would beam at him and lick her fingers cleaning up the liquid and cheerfully thank him.

Most of the time Gi Beom finds himself unable to move for over an hour and by that time someone is yelling at him for dinner, which was one hour later than usual.
