Summary: A father, Yoon Gil Joon was and now it seem a father in law as well.
Yoon Gil Joon, Commander of Special Forces. Worked
incredibly hard to get to his position whilst doing so he also raised his
daughter and had checkups by those around her. Gil Join was proud of his
daughter and also worried over her. She was the apple of his eye, the wonder in
his life when he first held her in his arms.
Also, she was the reminder of his love to his passed away
wife. Myung Joo had his wife’s cunningness and sharp wit. However, the trait
she took after her father was his pride and temper. He wonders if there would
be anyone that could handle his little girl. When he left this world he would
want her to be married and had children.
He wanted his little girl to have a family so that she
would not be lonely and left alone when he went away. He couldn’t stand not
knowing the man that was with his daughter and would be careful in selecting
anyone for her.
So he searched through the candidates since his daughter
was attracted to the quality of men in the army.
Until he came across his friend’s only son, Yoo Shi Jin,
however his daughter by then set her sights on the man he could never believe. Myung
Joo was so stubborn over Seo Dae Young. She stated with deadly intent and pride
that she wouldn’t every want Yoo Shi Jin and she didn’t care that Seo wasn’t
able to advance further then where he is…because his character was perfect to
her.
Yoon Gil Joon wanted to spit out blood from the thought
of a lowly officer. The status was outweighed and he wasn’t able to provide for
his daughter or take care of her. Not to mention the fear of death that may
happen where his daughter would become a widow didn’t settle well with him.
However, after almost two years down the line since he
regretted his behavior toward Seo Dae Young. He started to spend time with the
man since he came back alive from a mission. The other man was gentle toward
his daughter by what he could tell.
The reports of the man treating his daughter out to eat
and the constant phone calls between the two settle his heart. That the man
could stand his willful daughters behavior was enough he suppose. He was an
acknowledge hero when he came back and already he could see the way his
daughter eyes lit up in happiness.
The ache in his bones settles down after the time he talks
to Seo Dae Young. The younger man behaved respectful to him and even pours tea
for him and asked about his health, he finally asked him a question that made
him curious. “What part of my daughter do you exactly love?”
Gil Joon was exasperated by his daughter’s prank that
almost gave him a heart attack, in regards to being pregnant when she was not
just to state she had intent to commit the act after confessing. He could see
the absolute incredulous look on his soon to be son in laws face at his daughter’s
petulance.
“Speaking respectfully, “Dae Young said, “Her pride and
how she is dedicated…” The tall man kept talking about his daughter but then
froze up when he realize his superior and future father in law was looking at
him with an odd expression.
Gil Joon said, “I usually thought those traits of my
daughter would cause her trouble in finding a husband…”
Dae Young shook his head, “It’s not. That’s why I am
sometimes fearful that other men would see her virtues and try too…” He sat up
straighter, “I will make sure she is protected, sir!”
Gil Joon nods his head in thought, “Son in law…” He said,
“At 1200 hours tomorrow you will go with me to go fishing…” He pauses, “Do you
like fishing?”
Seo Dae Young said tightly, “I don’t know how to fish,
sir. But I am willing to learn…”
“Well…be sure to wear warm clothes then.” Gil Joon then
dismisses the younger man.
