Shi Jin love his duty to protect Korea. He loves the camaraderie he gains from his brothers in arms.
He enjoys their bonding together after suffering through ordeals together and
that they would follow him to the ends of the earth. He finds the pride in his
father’s weld him with honor and that mantle he carry lightening with the
thought of those he protects.
He never considered that one day he would find something
brighter to fight for. That is until he met a certain doctor. His faith that the army would help him or those that are
around him would back him was what drove him to do his best. He never thought
the army would give him the short end of the stick.
Yet it all went to the bottom of the lake, when Yellow Tiger Commander Yoon
told him that Delta Force operation wanted to use Argus. The plans to have
Argus supply a military faction in another place with weapons to make the world
Pro American. The inside of himself writhing around like worms from the thought
of that man being spared from the reaper after the high cost to keep him alive
in the first place.
The Captain in him told him it was an order, but the man
that toiled and fought beside Doctor Kang struggle against the chains of those
orders. He should of put a bullet into Argus’s cranium when he had a chance.
The orders to leave that man alone, wasn’t enough for Shi
Jin when something he holds dear was being threaten, and so he knew he would
acquire dishonor, but he would not give up. That was all prior before he receives
the green light.
Shi Jin was a warrior at heart, but he also fought for what
he felt is right. There is only so far that you can go with orders, which were
the reason, Shi Jin was a Captain. He worked around orders; walking a fine line
to ensure that the mission was complete, even those that were not on the
record. An order was given by those in the situation room; it didn’t mean they
knew the conditions in the warfront.
A single death could cause a ripple in the waters, whether
it was large or small, that is the conception of the butterfly effect.
