The waiting was over they arrived easily at their destination and made it to the theater, spotting Na Na with the bear costume, she most likely was taking care of it and mending any tears. The paleness of her face worries Qing Yang, she lost weight too, the lack of nutrition possibly?

Qing Yang made his way forward calling out, "Na Na."

Na Na eyes lit up seeing him, but swerve to see the elder with him and a frown happened, she looked away.

Qing Yang asked, "Na Na, why haven't you been answering my calls?"

Na Na struggles looking at him then at Uncle Tian, it hurt thinking that she might cut ties with him because of this, he wasn't sure what this was, and “I didn't think that you would be related to him."

Qing Yang hopes she wouldn't cut them away, she was consider kin now wasn't she?

"Qing Yang, I'm very happy to have met you." Na Na was begging Qing Yang with her eyes and he felt pained, "but because...I think it's better if we keep a distance for now. I don't want to make things difficult for you."

It was already difficult for him, not knowing if she was well or doing worse.  "Na Na."

Xing Tian sensing his almost son's struggle said, “Miss Yang. I think there must have been a misunderstanding between us." For Qing Yang's sake he wanted to understand and clear the air between him and this girl, "That's why you went to court to sue me. I asked Qing Yang to take me here today in the hope that we can clarify this matter." He didn't want Qing Yang to get in trouble because of this issue.

Na Na face turn icy cold her voice was strict and held angry undercurrent, "You think this is a misunderstanding?"

Xing Tian nods, "Of course. I can't think of any other situations."

"Since you think that this is a misunderstanding, you can use your speech to explain it to the Judge." Na Na eyes held pain and suffering that Qing Yang couldn't stand. She turned away from the two of them tugging the costume with her. He didn't know what else to say, but then Na Na started to fall backwards.

"Na Na!" Qing Yang chest rouse up and down in fear. She was very sick; she wasn't resting probably from the stress and overworking.

Xing Tian kneels beside Na Na's prone form, "Miss Yang!" His voice trailed off when recognition occurred and his hand brushed against a coffee bean silver necklace that Na Na worn.

Qing Yang worried beyond belief, "what's wrong?"

The pallor in his Uncle face was obviously telling of a lie, but Qing Yang was more worried over Na Na.

Xing Tian reassured him, "It's nothing."

"I'm taking her to the doctor's office first." Qing Yang lifted Na Na she was lighter than before and it was telling how easy it was for him to lift her.

"Go now." Uncle Tian said Qing Yang nods and headed off. He whispered reassuring to her carrying her past several people, "Don't do this to me, Na Na." He said his speed sped up going through the back stage area to where he parked his car inside; it was a benefit that Zi Feng allowed him access with vehicle just this one time. Pressing his pocket to the door, it unlocked the door, he struggle to open the door and slide Na Na in. "Just hang on Na Na..."

Hurrying around the car he jerked opens his door and slid in, making sure he was seat belted as well as Na Na. "Why did you have to be such a little fool?" He mutters already taking off to the hospital; it would be the longest minutes of his life.

Na Na waking up after being shifted into the hospital was a relief and yet a burden, she instantly said she was fine, "You are not fine!" Qing Yang protested as he filed the papers and the doctor went to check up on her in the room they submitted her too.

The hospital was busy and so they had submitted her to the children ward area for cancer children. It would be the cleanliest and easiest to examine and comfort her.

The doctor examines the charts and glances to the young fidgeting man, "She is awake so that is good, but..." He said, "Like I said before the possibility of reoccurrence is high in her. She also extremely underfed and looks to be suffering exhaustion. You should be taking better care of her."

Qing Yang lips turned down, "I see. How bad is it?"

"The blood work from before and present now tell us that there is a higher chance for her now..." The Doctor said, "We can't be sure, but she should be careful in her condition, overworking may be too taxing for her."

Qing Yang agreed inwardly, "Thank you...I'll go check on her now." He made his way to the water dispenser and grab a cup to fill with water, already considering what to do and what to tell his Uncle. He would have to make sure somehow that Na Na moves in with them; there was no way she can keep going on.

Entering the room he watches Na Na play with a plush toy, "Drink some water first." He handed it to Na Na. She glances at the water in the cup and took a small sip before placing it beside her. "Na Na. Uncle would like to talk to you."

"I don't want to talk to him now." Na Na cut in quickly.

Qing Yang was becoming frustrated by her stubbornness, "I believe you both must have a misunderstanding." He so wanted to grab her shoulders and shake her, "Give each other the chance to explain. Okay?"

The silence on Na Na face was detracting him from hope that she would listen, "Okay, take a rest first. I have something to settle. You will be fine on your own, right?" The nod he got from her didn't reassure him, for all he know that minx would somehow discharge herself and run off.

Qing Yang headed back to the amusement park, already wondering as to the issue between Uncle and Na Na. Na Na was such a contradiction in his life, supposedly bringing him comfort and now abundance of stress.

Just arriving to park at the amusement park he received a text message from Ya Nuo.

Pi Ya Nuo: Qing Yang, Uncle Tian is at our office, please come meet us there.

Wei Qing Yang: I am on my way.

Qing Yang wanted answers soon. He didn't like discord in his thoughts and life. Arriving at the office he greeted Zi Feng and Ya Nuo as he gotten comfortable on the plush chair beside Uncle Tian.

Zi Feng asked carefully, "Uncle Tian...what is going on?"

Uncle Tian gave a sigh he had already been drinking the tea that Ya Nuo had provided to him, he rub his face the lines increased from his stress and worries. "I didn't imagine that I would have a daughter."

Qing Yang was stunned, this was news to him, so the foster obligations on the documents weren't a joke, and they were real?

Uncle Tian continued, "And she has already grown up so much." Remorse was in the older man’s face, all three could tell that he had great regrets, but it still didn't explain the situation.

"Uncle Tian, what exactly happened that year?" Zi Feng knew that there was more to the story.

"If you don't do anything crazy, then you are wasting your youth." Uncle Tian eyes grew wistful with a smile at the memories, "That year, your father, me and also Uncle Wan Hao, we were very popular." He boasted at how they were when they were young and foolish, "We were very successful in our younger years. There were always young and beautiful women around us. Xiao Mei was really special." There linger a longing and great sadness in his old eyes, "She was the only woman whom I truly loved."

Qing Yang never knew of Uncle Tian's love life.  "Why did you both break up then?" He didn't understand if Uncle had loved that woman so much, how Na Na ended up so poor and alone.

"She wanted a stable life. She doesn't want me to live the life of fighting's and killings." Uncle Tian said upset, "She wanted me to leave your dad and your Uncle Wan Hao. I was young and only thought about breaking new ground. I couldn't concentrate on my love relationship."

Qing Yang understood Uncle Tian was sworn to the other two and couldn't break his bonds; they were one family unit even if they were three different names. It was so wrong.

"Hence..." Uncle Tian couldn't continue.

Ya Nuo finished the words for him, "Hence, you chose to give up on love."

"How could I abandon my brothers with whom I worked so hard with?" Uncle Tian said and continued furious, "Furthermore, when she met me, she already knew what kind of person I was." Qing Yang only saw an excuse of the matter but he understood the reasoning and it was heart breaking.

Uncle Tian blinks his eyes several times to clear them of the wetness, "We would fight because of this problem. In the end, she left." He said sourly.  "When she left, she didn't take anything along with her. She only took the necklace I gave her." He was confused as to why the woman only took that necklace and nothing else.

Ya Nuo blasted Uncle Tian's reasoning, "Based on time calculations, when Na Na's mother made that request, she should already be pregnant."

Qing Yang considered from Ya Nuo research it was most likely true, Na Na was a born out of wedlock child. She was an innocent out of two people's love that turned north instead of the proper journey.

Na Na mother was reasonable enough she didn't want her love to die or be hurt, and have her child kidnapped or hurt. He could respect Na Na's mother for her decisions, but that also made him sad, the life that Na Na could have lead if she knew Uncle Tian. The anger that she must feel discovering her father was here. He couldn't fault her. The miss opportunities that he might have grown up knowing her to have more family members in his life.

"Thinking about this, I'm really angry." Uncle Tian said rubbing his face, "She was already pregnant and I even rejected her. I spoke words which hurt her." There was greatest regret in his eyes as he stared haunted at the three kids in the room. "I have never kept my promise to her. She gave birth to a child for me and raised her alone." Shame lingered in his face and Qing Yang wishes he could comfort his Uncle, but he couldn't, "I didn't even manage to see her for the last time."

Qing Yang knew of unrequited moments of not knowing what happen to someone you love.  He didn't wish this for his Uncle, he respected and love the older man like his very own father.

Zi Feng unable to bare the hurt on his Uncle face got up and moves forward toward the elder, "This has already happened. What's most important is that you now know you have a daughter." He leaned against the desk looking at Xing Tian. "Do your best to take care of her." He looked happy that Na Na was more to their family, she had someone now and best of all it was one of his Uncle's.

Ya Nuo echoes Zi Feng's sentiment, "That's right. Think of a way for her to accept you first and resolve the misunderstanding between the both of you. She is such a kind girl. She will forgive you."

Qing Yang finally left everything sink, he picked up one of the purple tea cups and took a sip of it, Na Na was his beloved uncle's daughter, it also meant he have to keep extra eyes on her.

"Uncle I will take you home first." Qing Yang considered, "I will go help Na Na back to her rented home, before I come back to work."

Uncle Tian agrees, "Thank you three." He said, "I am really getting old."

It was later at night that Qing Yang was working at the cafe notices Zi Feng coming in, he lifted an eyebrow at his friend as he settled down in the chair and table. The dark black of his shirt and jacket with an emblem pin told Qing Yang the man didn't change, but instead quickly went to his place after his meetings. Already placing a coffee in front of Zi Feng he went back to the counter to clean up and fill another canister into the instant grounds.

The meeting with Han Sheng must have been stressful enough as well as those other business meetings he had later, but for him to find time to come here, he must be desperate for advice.

He owes Zi Feng help since the man did try his best for Uncle Tian. "Is black Coffee Okay?" He gauges his friend’s condition.

"Thanks." Zi Feng automatically said then he looked around curiously, “Where is Uncle Tian? Is he asleep?” Then he smiles in a sarcastic way as Qing Yang sat down in front of him after presenting his friend a black coffee, “Who would have thought, that a strong ordinary guy like Uncle Tian, would also have such a romantic past.”

Zi Feng stirred the coffee in front of him over and over again, Qing Yang inwardly sigh knowing that his friend was haunted by something he asked “What about you?” Zi Feng slowly lifted his head to look at Qing Yang in question. “Do you want me to pour a glass of wine for you?”

Zi Feng eyes slid down and up again he took out the spoon shaking it to set it off to the side. “You saw through me again.”

Qing Yang slid his head left then right and spoke with certainty, “When you are troubled, you will do this. You keep stirring your coffee.”

Zi Feng gave Qing Yang an assessing look of thanks and pride, “You really know me.” He finally lifted up the coffee cup to take a sip while speaking out, “Qing Yang. Sometimes, I think you know me better than I do.”

Qing Yang continued, “That's because you have not ascertained your feelings yet.”

Zi Feng immediately set down the coffee cup, he was caught and already knew that he had to face himself, he had been running away for so long, “I admit that you are right. Maybe some feelings really can actually surpass gender roles.” He sat back in his chair and considers his words carefully already accepting his condition, “It's a kind where you have feelings for someone.”

Qing Yang listens carefully to his friend, it was inevitable he suppose that this kind gentle tone that Zi Feng took while describing the sensation and feelings were beyond his capacity at this moment, but he understood from an outside stand point.

“He makes your heart flutter.” Zi Feng said his eyes looking inward into himself, “When you spend time alone with him, you uncontrollably want to look at him. And you even want to get closer to him.” Zi Feng gave a puff of air out and nods his head in agreement to himself, “I admit that I can't live without Pi Ya Nuo.”

Qing Yang always respected Zi Feng even though this sort of circumstance was indeed hard for any male he found himself admiring the character of his leader. “One needs courage to face your own feelings.” Yet there always need reassurance that there was nothing wrong to take that final leap and Qing Yang his friend needed it the most at this point. “Zi Feng, I give you my support.”

Zi Feng gave a small laugh and lean forward, “Whether this is love or not, I don't know but thank you for your support.”

Qing Yang knew inwardly that Zi Feng was struggling at this moment, but the answer was right in front of him, so he agreed backing off, “What do you plan to do next?”

Zi Feng looks down from that question he wasn’t sure and Qing Yang knew, “I don't know what I should do but what I'm very sure of, is that I want to protect him forever.” It was a better answer then anyone could hope from a heterosexual male, Qing Yang considered, watching his friend consume the coffee he nods his head. It was indeed a tough moment for his friend.

Feeling exhausted after Zi Feng left, Qing Yang cleaned up the Coffee House and closed the door locking it, and he knew Uncle Tian was probably already asleep. Stumbling he went to his room to get ready for bed.

Grabbing his clothes from the wooden drawer in his room, he tug out sweat pants and a sweat shirt, heading toward the bathroom, he turned on the shower. Standing in the wet water after stripping he pressed his forehead on his arm that he leans against the tile walls. “Wei Qing Yang.” He murmurs to himself, “Wei Qing Yang, you idiot. You should take your friends bravery as inspiration to face your own demons.” Quickly he went to work washing himself of the days sweat soaping up the mess of dirt from his hands and legs.

The humidity of the shower fogged up the mirror as he slid out after rinsing off himself, slipping on his clothes one by one he wiped the mirror and stared at his flatten hair and redden eyes. “Damn.” He cursed, watching himself and loathing that he couldn’t move as forward as his friend could.

Sliding open the door he went across the corridor to his room opening it to slid inside the blue colored schema room. He flopped onto his bed and reached for his power charging cellphone, opening it up, he notices as text message.

Yang Na Na:  Sorry, I left the hospital earlier. I will be willing to meet you. Just don’t ask me to see that man. Qing Yang I miss you terribly. Please. Let’s just hang out together, okay?

Qing Yang indeed was upset with Na Na, she had left the hospital discharging herself earlier and he had sent a text asking her where she was, there was no answer until now. He just didn’t want her to go away like before. Her missing him was just the same as him. He didn’t have as much friend and she always brought in a new feeling that he missed or never felt before.

Wei Qing Yang: Na Na. Please meet me at this location. (GPS) Tomorrow at 10 am, Zi Feng told me you are off. Let’s meet and talk this through. I do miss my friend too.

Setting his phone down, Qing Yang closes his eyes and fell asleep.

Strong arms linked around Qing Yang neck and he glances over his shoulder and smiles at the happy smiling face glancing back at him. “What are you thinking?”

Dark eyes glisten with happiness, “Hmm watching the surf going in and out on a beach is the best!”

“You like the ocean that much?” Qing Yang asked.

Pale arms squeeze his shoulders and neck, “Very much! I always thankful for it, did you know that is where life comes from?”

“Oh?” Qing Yang gave a laugh at the pouting face and slowly drags her arms from around his neck.

“Yes, without water we won’t have life!” Na Na finally comes into his view looking up at him, “Wei Qing Yang.”

“Hmm?” Qing Yang asked.

Na Na beams, “Let’s stay like this forever. Okay?”

Qing Yang glances to the water, it didn’t hurt as much looking at the waves, almost like a pulse moving in and out slowly and gently, a rhythm, he turns to glances and sees Na Na holding two balloons smiling at him. She waves as she runs off down the beach.

“Na Na…where you going?” Qing Yang asked, he move forward to catch up to her.

The red balloons flew from her hands above her, he glances up surprised, then glances down and she was gone. “Na Na?” He calls in panic, “Na Na?” He ran across the beach looking for her, until he came across her body laying pale and not moving on the sand.

Reaching forward then suddenly he wakes up eyes snapping open to see his own ceiling, sweat linger on his face, hand fumbling he sat up and glances to his phone opening it up. He needed to hear her voice, he needed to know.

Dialing the phone number from memory, a familiar voice answers soft and sleepily, “Hello?”

Qing Yang took a deep breath, “Na Na…” His voice hoarse from his nightmare and he felt his heart calming down.

“Qing Yang?” Na Na appeared more awake now, “Are you alright?”

“I…” Qing Yang felt embarrassed, “I’m okay.”

The voice pauses then spoke calmly, “Don’t worry.” Almost like she knew what was going on, “I am here. I am not going anywhere.”

Qing Yang lay on his bed once again with the phone near his ear. “Will you, come?”

“Of course, I’ll go see you.” Na Na whispered softly, “So lay down, calm down,” she hums, “I am here…” She hums a soft song and slowly Qing Yang fell back asleep.

The voice on the other end gave a soft laugh, “Don’t worry my little sun, I won’t leave you.”
