The
café was filled with girls once again to have coffee and food. It was still
in the early morning, but he gotten sometimes students from University that
have yet to go in since they have an afternoon or late class.

Qing
Yang evidently was concern and anxious, since Xing Tian had informed them they
would be going to the hospital to have Na Na check out and perhaps see if there
was a way to schedule a surgery for her condition.
Xing
Tian had enough money to support the surgery and Qing Yang knew his Uncle was
trying hard to hold in the tears. Qing Yang heard the door chime and went over
to greet them. A smiling Na Na he could tell was forced for his benefit, but
the dark circles under her eyes and pallor told a different story.
He
hopes that his gift to her would be well received, because he wanted her to be
comforted after probably a trying day at such a sterile environment. “Welcome back.”
Na
Na beams, but Xing Tian came inside and Na Na cover up stating that they met
outside. Her father backed her up but Qing Yang wonder if Na Na was that dense
to believe that he wouldn’t know. Unless she considers that her hiding the
situation was to make him think she and her father were getting along, if he
could bring her less pressure but he was getting a bit annoyed, since it was
just as a big pressure trying to leave him in the dark. He could see the toll
on her and if he wasn’t considerate of her, he would have back her into the
wall and shake her to tell him what was going on just to ease her.
The
constant battle that Qing Yang had to make with himself not to force her into
voicing out what was going on was like the calm of the hurricane before it move
and causes destruction in its path. However, it was fortunate he force Uncle
Tian so he was in on everything his dearest girlfriend was trying to keep from
him.
Did
she really believe that Xing Tian wouldn’t communicate with him? Sure the man
made the promise but Qing Yang wasn’t an idiot he could figure things out and
Na Na look like the sort to not be able to cover all bases of hiding her
documents. Moreover he was family with Xing Tian they both were guys and he was
just as much as Xing Tian’s son even if not by blood. Well son in law if
everything pans out to his plans.
“I
am going to go rest.” Na Na hurried to run away from Qing Yang and he felt
vexed. Once all of this was finished and she was better he would be having a
serious conversation with Na Na, because she was his no; his very important
person.
“Uncle.”
Qing Yang mentions, “What did the doctor say?” He needed to know at least
everything would be fine.
“The
doctor has scheduled for her surgery and we are waiting for notice. Also you
say you have a gift for her, where is it?” Xing Tian asked as he is served a
cup of coffee.
“It’s
in her bedroom.” Qing Yang lips curve upward, he made sure to pick the cutest
bunny he could have found. They had white, black, and mixture of color bunnies,
but he picked the smallest that would bring a smile on her face. He also
included a few supplies for the bunny that he held onto for when she would need
them; such as hay to even the basket of treats.
“In
her bedroom?” Xing Tian asked curiosity on his face.
A
few minutes passed and there was no response. Wasn’t it normal for a girl that
receives a present to quickly come down to scream in happiness? Anxiety started
to flood into Qing Yang and Uncle Tian finally asked the question in his own
mind.
“What
did you give her? Why isn’t there any response?” Xing Tian look to Qing Yang it
was obvious the nervousness on Qing Yang’s face. To push the boy a little he
voice out, “Maybe she doesn’t like the gift?”
Reaction
from Qing Yang was evidently adorable, he turn to look at Xing Tian voicing out
in disbelief, “Impossible!” He took in a gasp of breath in confusion, “She
should like it very much. Uncle, I’ll go take a look.” He hurries off not
seeing the amused and devious smirk on Xing Tian’s face.
Qing
Yang was going to be Xing Tian’s son in law it was only right he would push the
two closer together. He never saw anxiety before in Qing Yang and he loves the
new expressions on the boy’s face, since that unfortunate event seven years
ago.
Knocking
on the door, Qing Yang announced himself then opened the door looking around
the empty room confused and worried. He moves toward the bed and check on the
bunny to see it still there and nothing look to be touched. He wonders if
perhaps she hasn’t seen her gift yet as he bent over. “Where did she go?”
Arms
wrapped around his waist in a hug and the voice calling out, “Thank you my
little sun?” He turns to look at her and see her shining eyes of happiness.
“Initially, I was just saying about the bunnies, but I didn’t expect you to
give me such a wonderful gift.”
He
could see the redness in her cheeks of embarrassment and pleasure he was
memorizing her face and felt her arms once again wrap around his waist hugging.
He felt comfortable and happy that she enjoys his gift, because he wanted her
to smile just as happily not one of those force smiles.

The
visit from Ya Nuo and Zi Feng wasn’t unexpected but the topic was a bit
concerning. The introduction of a cuff link that Uncle Du held in his hand when
he disappear look to be expensive and not cheap. By what Qing Yang could tell
it was a limited addition and would be easy to find where it came from. It was
just acquiring the clientele list from the company he would be looking into.
Uncle
Tian talked about the issues, and informed Zi Feng that nothing could have been
solved by usage of fist. Which Qing Yang agreed it wasn’t wised in fact Qing
Yang knew that their family were together and work hard with one another. That
it would be devastating if someone had betrayed them and he hope it was an
outsider.
“I
will take care of looking into matters.” Qing Yang said, “Leave it to me.”
Already Zi Feng had his hands full trying to keep things together for the Du
Family. He didn’t want Zi Feng to lose his temper against Han Sheng if it
really was him, already he could see a lot of traces and hints of Han Sheng’s
dealings and he didn’t like it one bit.
Uncle
Tian had left as well as Zi Feng and Ya Nuo after he confirmed a few things
from Zi Feng. He decided to check up on Na Na; since she was upstairs resting
he caught her when she stumbled earlier today and immediately banish her back
up to bed. Imagine if she was running around like a naughty child, but without
energy for it. He also made a note to ask her if she might be hungry. So
heading upstairs he wanted to see how she was, he couldn’t keep away too long
and was glad she wasn’t working anymore in the amusement park.

Twenty years old Na Na has a problem.
Actually, she has several. As if being ill isn’t a big enough disadvantage, she
also has to contend with planning how to escape her boyfriend without letting
him know she was going for surgery to cure said disease. And then there’s the
question of whether she may survive the surgery and if she would be healthy
enough to be with Qing Yang.
Then there was the issue of her parentage that is confirmed that she is the
illegitimate child of Nan Xing Tian. Though the family was all accepting, it
also meant that she has a bulls eye on her back, since her father was part of a
triad family, and she was his daughter would also be consider endanger, even though
said triad family has move away from its roots to being entrepreneurs.
Qing Yang is a serious man and was hard to crossover his emotional issues,
since the disappearance of his family. The reappearance of Uncle Du whom has
lost his memory meant the man was in turmoil on whether his parents were alive
or may in fact be dead. All that the family knew was that Uncle Du had lost his
memory from a trauma and it was starting to look like the Wei family members
were murdered.
Na Na sat and played with Guo Lai her present bunny from her boyfriend. She
talked to her rabbit, since she was the only one that she could talk too. Her
father wasn’t much help and she did not want to burden any of the friends she
made whom was in connection with Qing Yang.
Na Na contemplates what to do, when Qing Yang came in and the idea came along
to tell him she was on a trip. Qing Yang look at her with those eyes, that
sometimes she felt was judging her for her lies. It hurt her because she didn’t
want to lie but she also didn’t want him to feel bad as well.
Good intentions were indeed the way to hell. She places her fist on her bed and
shifts but then grew happy at Qing Yang statement that they both would be going
somewhere together.
A date of all things!
Qing Yang grew quiet inside, he knew the date was drawing closer and the
exchange of love moments between him and Na Na had grown. Her frantic
profession of love to him tripled, and he could feel his heart beating and
thought of all the times she was the one to grant him those reassuring words.
Whereas he barely did anything and he felt ashamed. There was so little time
and he wanted her to be happy, to have a reason to stay in this world to be
beside him. But now the time was growing short and she would be leaving in a
few days, he decided to bring her to the temple.
To pray to a higher deity to keep her safe, to have her come back to him,
because he didn’t think his Uncle would survive the heart break.
Driving her to the temple he knew he lied about the date, but he had to make
sure she received a protection amulet and his prayers. He couldn’t bear that he
couldn’t do everything in his power to help Na Na. Even asking the gods help to
keep her safe during her surgery journey was something he could try to do to
keep his heart from being hurt.
He needed Na Na to be safe and though Na Na look disappointed at the date here,
she quickly cover it up, not realizing that he knew what was going on. He also
promise to make it up to her when she comes back to him, he would take her
everywhere to see, when she was strong enough. If they would have to travel
outside for a few months he would do so. He would fill her with all the love he
reserves for her in his heart, his love; he never thought he would love her so
badly as he did now.
She would be on a journey fighting for her life and he would try to support her
from the shadow.

In
the big café – and Qing Yang would always think of it as the big café since the
other café was smaller near the shores of the beach area. This one had two
floors at least and a rooms to house all three of them and all the supplies
including a nice roomy kitchen. Qing Yang sat down in Uncle Tian’s big leather
chair at the inner office that contained two large desks and filing cabinets.
Qing
Yang has taken over all business running of the main café and also included any
further research or development as Zi Feng’s right hand. The color of the chair
was chocolate tan color, not brown, since Xing Tian was a stickler when it came
to color scheme of his office and work place.
Qing
Yang had picked up on his Uncles behavior, the desk itself was sleek and shiny,
dark tones, and custom order from a shop that caters to exquisite taste of
their clients that wanted luxury items that were well built.
Summer
was gone and soon it was presenting toward the wet nights of Taiwan. Qing Yang
had a cup of espresso on the table, since it was late tonight and he had
paperwork to go through. He figures he could take a power nap later on.
A
soft knock jolted him from his thoughts and he smiled at the cute sleepy look
on Na Na’s face. She stumbles over to the leather couch that was off to the
side and murmurs. “What are you doing up?” She knelt on the couch her arms
folded over the side, her eyes a bit of moon hazed by her disturbed sleep.
“I
am still working on a few things for Zi Feng and Uncle Tian.” Qing Yang lips
quirk upward and he move from his chair and sat beside Na Na to stroke her hair
away from her cheek. “You should have been asleep.”
“Mmm.”
Na Na whines and her breath was a bit short for Qing Yang’s liking, “I couldn’t
sleep well.”
“A
bad dream?” Qing Yang whispered to not cause discomfort for her girlfriend. He
lean over the couch back and pull out a blanket throw to slide it over Na Na’s
legs and helped her be comfortable.
“I
dreamt you disappeared.” Na Na murmurs, “And that General Manager was wearing a
clown outfit.” Na Na was still talking with a slight slur of her sleep.
At
certain point Qing Yang noted when Na Na gotten this way she was absolutely
delightful. She would talk nonsense that would make her embarrassed if she
realize most of the time it was quite truthful. “A clown?”
“Mmm.”
Na Na nods slowly; it was a habit of hers to bob her head. Qing Yang took her
hand and strokes it in comfort. “Not afraid of clowns though; plenty at
amusement park.”
“Of
course.” Qing Yang soothed. Chores came first, that was the rule he made to
himself to get his paperwork and everything square away before he could spend
time with other endeavors. But Na Na needed him, “Na Na…do you have things to
tell me?” His voice was soft and soothing.
“Hmm?”
Na Na eyes peak out slowly but were going up and down, “I am not a boy.” She
grumbles.
Qing
Yang contemplates she was probably reassembly that Ya Nuo was a girl now. “Yes
it’s obvious.” He felt it when he piggy backs her on his back. Her hand was
almost lax and this was the point where he knew she would be in the world in
between not realizing what he says, her pulse flutter slowly in his fingers and
he continued to stroke her hand in comfort. “So nothing?”
“Mm
have to go to surgery. Don’t know how to tell Qing Yang.” Na Na grunts and
shift her legs out,
Qing
Yang held back a yelp when it connected to his knee.
“Why
don’t you tell him?” Qing Yang asked hoping to understand.
“Hmm?”
Na Na voice was barely whispered, “Because I love him—don’t want him to worry.”
Her voice trailed off and she was back to sleep.
Qing
Yang thoughts whirled and swung around for a bit, he knew she didn’t like
others to worry; Na Na was kind hearted though she held grudges just as bad as
his Uncle. He stroke her wrist, he would just let her continued on to keep this
secret away from him. He didn’t want her to feel pressure, but in the future he
wouldn’t let her get away with any of it.
Leaning
forward he brush his lips against her cheek and whispered softly, “You little
fool. Did you think I didn’t know? But because you love me so much.” He brought
his lips over to kiss her sleeping lips. “I will let it go this one time.”
Qing
Yang pulls back and covers her more comfortably with the blanket and got back
up to move to the leather chair to finish his work. The window flash when
finally the rain storm that was reported to come rolling along finally alive
and it wasn’t a few minutes before rain came trickling against the panels.
Picking
up his espresso cup and was about to take a sip when he imagine Zi Feng in a
clown suit and tried very hard not to laugh.
