Summary: Coming back doesn't mean you truly are gone from the disaster.
P.T.S.D. also labeled as Posttraumatic stress disorder isn't a laughing matter. The other names listed are battle fatigue syndrome though for the staff that were left in Uruk beating back death was exhausting.
Though there were no shells or bombs going off they did have the urgency of wreckage and trying to save lives. A person could develop this disorder when experiencing or witnessing a traumatic or scary even which serious physical harm had happened or there was even threats.
The event of guns being held on them was nightmarish when they try to save a countries leader. Yet this did not cause them to have the disorder, no the event that hurt them the most would be that of the Earthquake. Watching people die around them causing helplessness to intense fear when there was shaking going on around them.
Korea never had Earthquakes in modern years. It wasn't an experience that the Hae Sung staff could attest they would like to experience ever again. Though it can be noted that emergency personnel and rescue workers can develop PTSD. Seldom were there anyone to help them, most people never experiencing such things would laugh at their strange behavior of quickly ducking under the table and holding onto the sides.
All of them hope with supporting one another that they would be able to get over the PTSD and hopefully it wouldn't constantly haunt them. Just being back in Korea was enough in the sense but the noise and the sudden shaking still set off the group.
They were dealing with it all. Trying their best. Though no one would understand they understood one another the best. So they grew closer and helped each other when something goes wrong.
In a sense they all were family members to one another.
